Welcome to our ‘Vehicle of the Month’ 2021 blog post series which we are continuing since August last year to share some of the most fascinating and remarkable car and motorbike stories, restoration projects and travel adventures of our customers.

Last month we shared a story by a Welsh lady that has brought her 1982 Lancia Beta Spyder back to life! This June we're continuing with our eleventh 'Vehicle of the Month' by Ian and his MG Midget Mark III called 'Midgie'.

'Midgie' was built between 27-28th of February 1974 and dispatched on the 26th of March 1974 to Weybridge Motor Company Limited in Surrey. His original trim was Autumn Leaf and colour Glacier White.

In the caring hands of his current owner, Ian, 'Midgie's' 14th owner, we can dive into his before and after life - thanks to the well journaled restoration story that was passed on by his previous owner.

"This is Midgie before restoration in 1998 after being bought by the 13th owner who lived on the outskirts of Southampton. This and the next 7 pictures show the wear and tear from the previous 12 owners. Both A frames had rusted away and considerable rust damage everywhere on the car. Somewhere in the previous 24 years the trim had been changed to Ochre Yellow. There had been one owner in Surrey and all of the other owners had been in Hampshire or Dorset".
