Morris Minor 1000, call sign XD21

Happy New Year !

We are well into January, middle of the month, middle of the working week. There's nothing better than a good pick me up to shake off the 'old January Blues' so please welcome our fresh 'Vehicle of the Month Story' featuring Jed and his panda car - The EX Metropolitan Police Morris Minor 1000, call sign XD21.

This particular classic "is one of a batch of thirty panda cars launched to the press at the Metropolitan Police Driving School, Hendon, in April 1968 and is now one of two survivors of the batch of thirty. After featuring in the press release, this panda went on to serve in West London carrying call sign XD21 before retiring in 1972".

It's a beautiful vehicle that catches your eye everywhere it goes as you'll learn from Jed's story. Not only that, thanks to XD21 Jed was able to embrace his classic car community, attend multiple classic car events, meet new friends and fellow enthusiasts or take joyful rides just for the pleasure of taking period style photos somewhere iconic.
